Why God Does Not Exist - The Ultimate 747
Do you believe that life may exist outside of our planet? Sounds plausible right? There are billions upon billions of planets in our universe. There seems to be a high probablity of some form of life existing somewhere besides our Earth, though we may argue that there is a high probability that Earth is the home of ALL life in the universe...
Do you believe that among extraterrestrial life is a sentient, intelligent alien race? The probability of this is much lower than some low form of life existing on some far off planet, but this still seems possible.
Do you believe that there could be only one sentient, intelligent alien? What? What a strange concept!
Do you believe that this single alien intelligent being on another planet could have created life on Earth? No!
Do you believe that this single alien intelligent being could read your mind?
Do you believe that this single alien intelligent being always existed? Always was omniscient? Always was?
What if some ancient writing assured you that this Alien existed? That He created our world? That He would condemn you to everlasting suffering if you did not believe in HIM?
If you are still answering "yes" then you have made a great leap and have begun calling this alien GOD.
You are deluding yourself.
"The chance that higher life forms might have emerged [through evolution or abiogensis] is comparable to the chance that a tornado sweeping through a junkyard might assemble a Boeing 747 from the materials therein." - Fred Hoyle
The chance of a God having played a part in the existence of higher life forms is on par with a Boeing 747 spontaneously coming into existence without the benefit of a tornado and without the benefit of a junkyard.
